Funding of the Foundation Helping and Supporting Locally

The Foundation for Local Help and Support is committed in Baden-Württemberg to charitable initiatives that strengthen social cohesion and support disadvantaged groups. Through open-ended calls for proposals, the foundation funds social projects in the areas of child and youth work, assistance for the disabled, the sick and the elderly, as well as the integration of foreign youth. As a pure grant program, it is aimed at local organizations, interest groups, or associations whose activities are predominantly based on voluntary engagement. The focus is on the sustainable improvement of the living conditions of young people, seniors, and people with disabilities, as well as the promotion of democratic participation and civil society responsibility – always with regard to the local community connection and coexistence on site.

Eligible to apply are all non-profit associations or organizations based in Baden-Württemberg that submit their project ideas within an ongoing funding round. A prerequisite for funding is non-profit status, verifiable local relevance of the project, and the committed involvement of volunteers in the project team. Decisions are made by a panel consisting of the foundation’s board and advisory council, which reviews project proposals for impact, sustainability, and the character of volunteer engagement. Applications can be submitted at any time within the framework of the current call for proposals.
