Funding by the Jetzt Weeze Foundation

The Jetzt Weeze Foundation continuously supports charitable projects in the municipality of Weeze. As a legally recognized, non-profit foundation under civil law, it provides fixed annual funds of €70,000 as well as additional amounts from the revenues of local wind energy plants. In accordance with its statutes, it supports initiatives in the areas of youth and elderly care, arts and culture, monument preservation, education, environmental and nature conservation, disaster and civil protection, animal welfare, sports, as well as local heritage preservation and rural development. Funding applications can be submitted at any time and are considered on a regular basis by March 31 and October 31 each year. Grants are awarded in the form of subsidies, whereby applicants must directly pursue tax-privileged purposes.

Interested clubs, initiatives, public institutions, and other non-profit organizations based in the municipality of Weeze are eligible to apply. A prerequisite is the anchoring of charitable purposes in the statutes and activity within the funding area of North Rhine-Westphalia. The selection is based on the significance of the project for local cohesion and sustainable development on site. The foundation places particular emphasis on transparency and sustainability: all submitted documents are carefully reviewed before a decision on the grant is made. Through its commitment, the Jetzt Weeze Foundation makes an important contribution to strengthening civic engagement and promoting livable structures in the home community.
