Support for the Foundation Children Promote – Creating a Future

The funding from the foundation “Supporting Children – Creating Future” is aimed at non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and foundations based in or operating within Baden-Württemberg, as well as partner projects in Namibia and South Africa. Since 2010, initiatives in the areas of reading promotion and media education have been supported through sponsorship. In particular, projects such as “Reading Alarm,” “Books without Borders,” and the “Youth Non-Fiction Book Prize” pursue the goal of strengthening reading skills and responsible media use among children and adolescents. Through financial and conceptual support of internships and volunteer programs, the foundation offers young educators and social workers diverse opportunities for practical involvement. The focus is on equal opportunities: regardless of social and economic background, young people should be optimally supported on their educational path.

Applications for ongoing funding can be submitted at any time, provided the project has a clear focus on reading promotion or media education and non-profit status is demonstrated. Projects that particularly benefit children and adolescents with educational deficits are supported. The broad thematic spectrum includes, besides education and culture, also vocational training & continuing education, commitment to social cohesion and democracy, as well as work & social affairs. The initiative offers a sustainable funding opportunity to implement innovative concepts in the fields of culture & media and thus strengthen the future skills of young people in the long term.
