Funding of the Lebenshilfe Krefeld Foundation

The Lebenshilfe Krefeld Foundation provides ongoing support for projects and initiatives in North Rhine-Westphalia that are aimed at people with intellectual disabilities residing in Krefeld. As a permanent grant provider, it pursues the goal of sustainably promoting education, care, accommodation, recreation, and sporting activities. The foundation’s capital, built up through endowments and inheritances, is preserved in the long term, while the interest income and dividends are used to tax-advantageously realize the objectives of the Lebenshilfe für Krefeld e.V. association. Through this funding strategy, subprojects in the areas of education, vocational training, as well as sports and cultural offerings are continuously supplied with financial resources, enabling inclusive engagement locally.

Eligible for funding are private individuals with intellectual disabilities residing in Krefeld, who may submit applications at any time. Support is provided as a direct grant for initiatives in the fields of social affairs, education, sports, housing construction and modernization, as well as culture and media. Furthermore, measures for infrastructural development and urban design in favor of barrier-free offerings are taken into account. The foundation operates without fixed deadlines, thus facilitating flexible planning and implementation of projects.
