The "No Pain, No Gain" Foundation recognizes the commitment of young people in Bad Salzuflen and supports pupils aged ten and above until graduation with monetary or material awards. The initiative aims to honor exceptional diligence in the academic field as well as social, cultural, or sporting engagement. Since its founding in 2011, the foundation has supported numerous individuals and groups, thereby creating a tangible incentive to actively contribute to mutual support and community spirit. Awarded projects range from school first aid services and tutoring programs to theater and music productions, as well as sporting achievements and volunteer initiatives. The flexible funding amount allows for the individual recognition of outstanding achievements and provides additional motivation for future activities.

Nomination proposals can be submitted year-round, provided that applicants can prove their school attendance or residence in Bad Salzuflen, are at least ten years old, and have not yet graduated. A justified nomination description suffices for the application, which must be sent by email to the trustee’s office. Selection is based on criteria including exceptional academic diligence, engagement in social or cultural areas, sporting achievements, and volunteer service. The continuous awarding of prizes and honors underscores the commitment to fostering sustainable cohesion and democratic coexistence in the region and offers young people a platform to showcase their abilities.
