Funding of the Pro HöVi Foundation

The Pro HöVi Foundation supports non-profit organizations, groups, initiatives, and individuals whose projects sustainably strengthen community life in the Cologne districts of Höhenberg and Vingst. Through grants from foundation revenues and donations, it funds initiatives in the areas of social affairs, children and youth, education, migration, work & social services, vocational training, as well as agriculture & rural development. Special emphasis is placed on projects that provide help for self-help and promote social cohesion. An informally submitted project description along with the financial requirements is sufficient to enable a review based on the available funds, the relevance to the neighborhood, and the sustainable impact. Applications can be submitted continuously and without bureaucratic effort, ensuring timely and needs-based support.

Particularly supported are initiatives that actively contribute to district development and strengthen residents’ personal responsibility. Examples of previously supported projects include recreational activities for children, educational visits to extracurricular learning sites, and intergenerational meeting formats. The foundation thus aims to promote social self-help, integration, and democratic engagement. Applicants only need to demonstrate that the project will be implemented in Höhenberg or Vingst and transparently list existing and required resources. Through its unbureaucratic application process and continuous grant practice, Pro HöVi helps to put creative ideas into practice locally and stabilize social peace in the two Cologne districts.
