Funding of the REFUGIO Foundation

The REFUGIO Foundation supports non-profit and public institutions throughout Germany that are dedicated to providing comprehensive assistance to refugees. Through a grant program, it supports psychosocial counseling, therapeutic rehabilitation, preventive work, as well as health-related measures. In addition, educational and qualification projects are funded that enable linguistic, professional, and social participation. The goal is to create sustainable structures in which mentors, therapists, and social workers collaboratively work to promote individual strengths and address the burdensome experiences of flight and migration.

Interested organizations can submit applications on an ongoing basis to implement measures for healthcare provision, psychological stabilization, and professional integration. The funding provides financial frameworks for workshops, group or individual counseling, extracurricular educational offerings, as well as public relations work to raise awareness of the concerns of refugees. Through the inclusively designed program, refugees gain access to necessary support services that enable a long-term life perspective and active participation in the social environment.
