Funding by the Wermelskirchen Königstein Foundation

The Wermelskirchen Königstein Foundation supports charitable initiatives in Hesse and the surrounding area that align with the foundation charter of Christoph Wermelskirchen. The focus areas are Christian proclamation, youth work, education and upbringing of Catholic youth, Catholic student support, as well as adult education. Furthermore, support is provided for projects that strengthen the Christian understanding of humanity in education and science – for example, through interdisciplinary encounters, research projects, and lecture series. Another funding priority is directed towards social and health services, including pastoral care for the deaf, outpatient nursing, as well as home and inpatient end-of-life care in Königstein and the surrounding area.

Funding applications can be submitted at any time by charitable organizations or educational institutions; there is no legal entitlement to funding. A prerequisite for support is immediate charitable status in accordance with the foundation’s charter, the project location in Königstein or its vicinity, and content alignment with the foundation’s guidelines. In the selection process, the committees primarily assess congruence with the foundation’s objectives and proof of charitable status. The funding volume is granted in the form of subsidies, particularly to enable sustainable projects for children, youth, and adults and to strengthen social cohesion.
