Description
The Wirtschaftskreis Hohenschönhausen-Lichtenberg Foundation supports projects for child and youth development in the Berlin district of Lichtenberg and thereby assists non-profit organizations that implement socio-educational, socio-psychological, or supervisory services for young people. The aim is to promote initiatives that provide young people with sustainable support, orientation, and opportunities for individual development. Within this framework, both individual and group projects receive financial subsidies. Funding is provided proportionally in accordance with the German Fiscal Code (§ 58 para. 1 AO) to ensure responsible and impact-oriented use of funds. Interested applicants benefit from a regional focus and a clearly structured allocation process that requires close presence in the funding area.
Applications are submitted twice a year by April 30 and October 31. A prerequisite is a registered office or ongoing activity in the Lichtenberg district as well as non-profit status with a corresponding focus on children and youth. A complete application includes the completed form “Application for Funding,” information about the applicant, a detailed project description, and financial details. After review by the advisory board, funding recommendations are forwarded to the executive board, which makes the final funding decision. Funded organizations are required to report on the use of funds and transparently demonstrate the purpose of the funding.
