Funding by the Brandenburg Welfare Foundation

The Brandenburg Welfare Foundation supports non-profit organizations and public institutions in Brandenburg with continuously available grants to strengthen democracy and social participation. The focus is on the further development of an inclusive culture of participation, particularly the reflection on existing participation structures and the promotion of democratic processes within the Paritätischer Welfare Association and throughout the state of Brandenburg. A special emphasis is placed on the implementation and expansion of the participation and co-determination rights of children and young people, to anchor their independent involvement in municipalities, educational and care services, as well as in sustainability policy.

Typically funded are member organizations of the Paritätischer, municipalities, and other independent providers who design and implement projects to strengthen social participation. The foundation values close engagement with current social challenges and democratic developments. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis to allow flexible responses to local needs. Interested initiatives thereby receive a valuable source of funding to sustainably establish participatory structures and to provide children and young people with effective opportunities for involvement.
