Description
The funding from the ZukunftSpenden Foundation supports nationally recognized non-profit organizations in Germany. Within the framework of this sponsorship initiative, projects are funded that combine environmental and climate protection with education for children and young people. The goal is to strengthen environmentally oriented education as well as to develop sustainable and innovative methods for the protection of climate, environment, and nature. Among others, measures for the restoration of landscapes such as forests, moors, or bodies of water, as well as activities promoting energy efficiency and waste reduction, are supported. Particular focus is placed on projects that implement educational concepts to raise awareness among young people and demonstrate long-term impact, independent of additional funding sources.
Non-profit organizations can submit applications on an ongoing basis by providing the application form along with a detailed project description, a cost and financing plan, the statutes, an extract from the register, and the corporate tax assessment. For evaluation, a realistic and goal-oriented project plan, the educational approach, and the sustainability of the project are decisive. Assessment criteria especially include the degree of innovation of the methods, the focus on environmental and climate protection, as well as the impact on children and young people. The continuous awarding without a fixed deadline creates space for projects that promote environmental awareness and empower young people to become active shapers of a sustainable future.
