Description

The ZukunftSpenden Foundation primarily supports initiatives in Saxony that are dedicated to environmental, climate, and nature conservation as well as environmental education for children and youth. With continuously received funding applications, both regional and supra-regional projects are supported that contribute to the restoration of natural habitats. The focus is on measures to increase energy efficiency, educational offerings with a practical environmental protection character, and social programs that include disadvantaged or rural areas. Through targeted grants, the foundation makes a sustainable contribution to the preservation of diverse ecosystems and imparts knowledge about climate-relevant contexts to young people in order to motivate them to actively participate.

Non-profit organizations, public institutions, companies, and start-ups with projects in the fields of environment/nature conservation, climate protection, education, children and youth, energy efficiency & climate protection, vocational training & further education, as well as work & social affairs are eligible for funding. A prerequisite for funding is proof of non-profit status or comparable transparent use of funds, as well as statutory alignment with environmental education or nature conservation. The selection process considers the contribution to nature and climate protection, the educational impact on young target groups, the long-term effect, and the regional or social effectiveness. Project description, financing plan, proof of non-profit status, and a timeline must be submitted with the application; applications can be submitted at any time.
