Support for Structures in Child Day Care

The promotion of structures in child day care in Baden-Württemberg aims to sustainably expand high-quality and needs-based care services for children up to 14 years of age, especially for toddlers, throughout the state. Eligible to apply are public and recognized independent youth welfare organizations engaged in the fields of children and youth as well as training and further education. Both preparatory measures for the qualification of childminders and their continuous further training are funded. The measure strengthens the framework conditions in child day care and contributes to improving the compatibility of family and work.

As a grant program, the state of Baden-Württemberg offers non-profit institutions a flexible funding opportunity that can be applied for continuously. The support includes projects for network building, concept development, and practice-oriented training, enabling childminders to further develop their pedagogical and organizational skills. By strengthening existing structures and targeted qualification efforts, a long-term professionalization and assurance of needs-based care services are pursued. Public providers can submit an application at any time and thus actively contribute to shaping a sustainable child day care system.
