Description

The funding measure supports training companies in sending apprentices and graduates to international vocational competitions by reimbursing the actual paid basic wage or basic salary without special payments and allowances. This promotes the professional skills and personal development of the participants and strengthens their competitiveness on the international stage. The funding is available indefinitely and applies nationwide to companies authorized to provide vocational training in accordance with § 2 BAG. Public authorities as well as companies with serious violations of the Vocational Training Act are excluded from applying.

The grant covers 100% of the eligible basic wage and is provided as direct funding. Applications can be submitted within three months after the conclusion of the competition event; the decisive date is the day of the respective competition. The required evidence and supplementary documents must be submitted in accordance with the guidelines of the responsible apprenticeship offices. The aim of the measure is to facilitate the integration of young skilled workers into the labor market, improve the quality of dual vocational training, and reduce youth unemployment in the long term. Through targeted financing of wage costs, training companies incur no financial risk, enabling them to optimally prepare their junior staff and integrate them into global competition activities.
