Description
The funding initiative enables private individuals from Upper Austria to receive financial relief when participating in the Upper Austrian Journalists Academy. Funding is provided for the coverage of course fees for the basic course or a training course lasting at least six months. This offers a practical insight into research, writing, and editorial processes, imparting both fundamental journalistic knowledge and advanced methodological skills. The state funding significantly contributes to strengthening the regional media landscape and supports aspiring authors and reporters in establishing their professional qualifications at a high level.
Applications are submitted informally to the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government, Directorate Presidency, Department of Communication and Media, and require, in addition to the informal funding application, proof of course participation. Only the participation fees are eligible for funding; no additional costs are incurred by the applicants. Applications for the current year must be submitted annually by no later than December 1.
