Description
The funding from the Trube Foundation – Foundation for People with Disabilities supports projects both ideationally and financially to improve the quality of life for people with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities in the Kassel region. From the proceeds of the foundation’s assets, individual assistance, therapy services, aids, as well as leisure and community-promoting measures are financed. In line with integration assistance according to SGB XII, both individual measures and group offerings as well as institutional funding are supported. The foundation’s purpose is guided by the motto of the founders Anna Elisabeth and Georg Trube: “To make life with a disability easier.”
Funding is provided to private individuals, non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, associations, and public institutions located in the Kassel region that submit their projects in accordance with the support objectives pursuant to SGB XII. Applications can be submitted continuously; no deadline is set. A prerequisite is proof of a project aimed at the integration, participation, or care of people with disabilities. Eligible measures include, for example, animal-assisted therapies, movement courses, inclusive leisure activities, or technical equipment such as special tandems and sound systems. A volunteer advisory board annually decides together with the board of directors on the allocation of the foundation’s proceeds and selects the projects worthy of funding. Interested project sponsors and private individuals receive information upon request regarding submission format and funding criteria, with an emphasis on sustainable impact and concrete improvement of participation opportunities.
