Funding of the Vogelsberg Foundation for Culture and Nature

Funding from the Vogelsberg Foundation for Culture and Nature offers versatile support in Hesse for projects that preserve and further develop the rural heritage of the Vogelsberg region. As a non-profit grant provider, the foundation targets educational institutions, foundations, interest groups, companies, and private individuals based or active in the region. The focus is on measures for nature and monument protection, landscape management, as well as educational and cultural offerings that highlight the natural and cultural particularities of the Vogelsberg. The foundation’s fund has a capital of 35,000 euros and can continuously allocate resources to support, for example, information boards on historic buildings or exhibitions on regional natural treasures.

In particular, initiatives and associations dedicated to environmental education, the restoration of listed buildings, or energy efficiency find ongoing grant opportunities here. Decisions on funding are made by an independent advisory board, which, in addition to foundation revenues, also raises third-party funds and relies on endowments to sustainably strengthen the financial base. With this dynamic funding approach, not only specific nature conservation and monument projects are supported, but also training and continuing education offerings on regional history and biodiversity are made possible. In doing so, the Vogelsberg Foundation actively contributes to securing both the cultural memory and the natural landscape of the Vogelsberg equally for future generations.
