Funding by the VR-Bank Foundation, Aalen

Since its founding in 1993, the VR-Bank-Stiftung Aalen has been committed to the sustainable promotion of charitable and benevolent projects in the Ostalb district. With the foundation’s income, it supports a wide range of cultural and sporting activities, projects for children, youth, and seniors, as well as initiatives for environmental and nature conservation, education, international understanding, and social cohesion. As a foundation under civil law, it exclusively pursues tax-privileged purposes and acts selflessly, without any commercial interests. The board and advisory council, composed of personalities from the region’s business, sports, and cultural sectors, decide once a year on the allocation of funds, focusing on a close connection to the Ostalb district and alignment with the foundation’s objectives.

Funding is directed at non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, and educational institutions with project locations in the Ostalb district. Prerequisites include proof of non-profit or benevolent status as well as content alignment with the foundation’s mission. Evaluation criteria particularly include regional relevance, non-profit status, and conformity with objectives. Funding applications are submitted using the form “Application for Project Funding,” which is available from the foundation as a PDF. The annual decision on foundation funds takes place on a fixed date by which all applications must be submitted. This transparent allocation procedure offers associations and educational institutions the opportunity to realize their projects both ideologically and financially.
