Promotion of Further Training (according to § 12 GWB) for Professional Drivers

The funding initiative for further training in accordance with § 12 GWB for professional drivers in Burgenland facilitates access for entrepreneurs and their professionally fully insured drivers to targeted qualification measures. External course costs are covered with a 100% subsidy, provided that the educational institutions are recognized in accordance with the Basic Qualification and Further Training Regulation – Professional Drivers – (GWB). Eligible for funding are self-employed individuals and companies with their main operation or branch in Burgenland, as well as their drivers who are in an un-terminated, fully insured employment relationship and are compulsorily insured with the regional social insurance institution. Applications can be submitted from January 1, 2024, up to a maximum of twelve months after the start of the measure, but no later than December 31, 2027.

For the application, the official application form, the action guideline, a participation confirmation of the educational measure, and the corresponding invoices are required. Travel expenses, accommodation, meals, or literature costs are not funded. Wirtschaftsagentur Burgenland GmbH reviews compliance with the GWB regulations and the operational relevance of the further training. A combination with other funding is only permitted if the total funding rate does not exceed 100%. Funding decisions are made retrospectively and also include the settlement. This initiative specifically strengthens the qualification and competitiveness of professional drivers in Burgenland and makes an important contribution to securing highly qualified jobs in the region.
