Description

The "Promotion of Continuing Education in Saxony" represents an open-ended, regional grant opportunity specifically targeting recognized eligible educational institutions, public entities, and non-profit organizations. The program supports diverse continuing education events, staff training, accommodation and catering costs, as well as innovative projects and procedures within the federal state of Saxony. Applications can be submitted annually, with a deadline of January 31 of the current year for basic grants as well as accommodation and catering expenses. Events in the first half of the year must be applied for by October 31 of the previous year, and those in the second half by May 31.

The funding objective is to strengthen individual and professional competencies as well as the active participation in democratic structures, with principles such as personal responsibility and equal opportunity at the core. Eligible expenses include costs for events in the field of initial and continuing education, proof of qualifications, staff lists, evidence of professional experience, an existing quality assurance system, and a detailed cost and financing plan. A prerequisite for a successful application is written recognition as an eligible institution or state organization for continuing education, or as a legal entity under public law or a non-profit legal entity under private law. By financing innovative concepts and established continuing education measures, the program promotes sustainable learning processes and contributes to strengthening Saxony as an educational location.
