Funding of the WHW Foundation

The WHW Foundation supports projects nationwide that promote interreligious dialogue and understanding between different religions. As a grant provider, the funding is aimed at non-profit organizations, educational institutions, interest groups, other associations, public institutions, as well as private individuals. The foundation continuously awards financial resources in the thematic areas of commitment to social cohesion, democracy, work, and social affairs. The focus is particularly on innovative concepts and measures that build bridges between faith communities and sustainably strengthen coexistence.

Eligible expenses include project presentation and concept development as well as costs for documentation and publications. The prerequisite is that the project corresponds to the foundation’s purpose. Applications can be submitted at any time and should include a project presentation (maximum one DIN A4 page), a financial plan, contact person details and contact information, as well as a brief documentation of already completed activities. For publication funding, a copy of the publication must additionally be submitted. The WHW Foundation explicitly addresses organizations and individuals who wish to advance interreligious exchange through creative and sustainable commitment. Through financial support, a lasting contribution to social cohesion and tolerance is to be made.
