Description
The Andrea & Markus Eisel Foundation supports nonprofit initiatives nationwide in the fields of education, child and youth development, as well as vocational training and further education. The focus is on projects that enable self-determined and self-organized learning, promote personal potential development, and support mindful upbringing. Funding is provided for educational programs that connect learners and educators on an equal footing, as well as for research projects and qualification measures that advance innovative educational approaches. The foundation places special emphasis on integrating democratic principles, ethnic and religious diversity, and ecological responsibility. This creates sustainable conditions in which children and young people can freely explore, reflect, and actively engage in society and environmental protection.
Only nonprofit organizations based in Germany or, after prior consultation, abroad are eligible for funding. A current tax exemption certificate according to § 52 AO and an informal project description including a timeline, cost, and financing plan are prerequisites for application. Additionally, a brief introduction of the sponsoring team, information about cooperation partners, and the requested funding amount with bank details must be submitted. Grants of up to €5,000 per year are awarded for project durations of up to 36 months. Applications can be submitted at any time; the board decides on the awards at three to four meetings annually. These ongoing funding opportunities provide nonprofit initiatives with the chance to implement and further develop self-responsible educational projects in the long term.
