Description

The state of Salzburg supports property owners, property management companies, as well as tenants of residential properties located in noise-affected areas along state roads (types B and L) with a non-repayable grant for the installation of noise protection windows and doors. A prerequisite is the exceedance of 60 dB in the day-evening-night period (Lden) or 50 dB in the night period (Lnight) due to traffic movements. Only existing living and sleeping rooms in buildings that are at least five years old or existed before the construction of the road and whose acquisition dates back at least five years are eligible for funding. Excluded are, in particular, wet and ancillary rooms as well as buildings such as schools, hospitals, or office buildings. Within the financial means of Department 6/06 Road Construction, lump sums reimburse up to 50% of material costs (depending on the age of the old elements), 100% of installation costs, 8% for ancillary work (e.g., facade restoration), and up to €750 plus VAT for soundproof ventilation units. Installation costs for electrical fan power supply are not covered.

Applications can be submitted continuously and have been valid indefinitely since 22.08.2013. Required documents include, among others, a consent declaration from the property owner in the case of tenants, proof of the age of the existing windows and doors via approval notices, location and floor plans, as well as official permits for facade alterations. After completion of construction and submission of the final invoice, the responsible authority reviews the proper execution before the grant is signed in two copies of the funding agreement with proof of payment and disbursed. A new funding entitlement arises only after the expiration of the average service life of 20 years.
