Funding of the Hamburg Sports Association

With the ongoing funding initiative of the Hamburg Sports Federation, member organizations from sports clubs and associations in Hamburg receive targeted grants to implement a diverse range of physical activity programs. Whether inclusive sports groups for people with and without disabilities, senior sports, integration projects, or talent development – various measures are financially supported. Additionally, flat-rate payments for instructors and travel cost reimbursements are promoted to ensure the care and mobility of participants. Investment costs for club-owned sports facilities, renovation measures, and new construction projects can also be funded, as well as energy consultations within the framework of a climate adaptation program. The initiative aims to reduce barriers, strengthen social participation, and sustainably develop the sports infrastructure in Hamburg.

Only non-profit member organizations of the Hamburg Sports Federation are eligible to participate; individuals are excluded from applying. Funding applications can be submitted continuously, allowing clubs to plan flexibly and according to their needs. Eligible expenses include instructor remuneration, travel costs, operating costs of sports facilities, investment costs for club-owned facilities, and energy consultations. All guidelines, forms, and supplementary documents are available at any time via the HSB member portal. With this broadly designed funding offer, the Hamburg Sports Federation supports not only the sporting but also the social and infrastructural development of organized sports in Hamburg.
