Description
The project “BASIS – Low-threshold Offer for Girls and Young Women/NEETs” targets girls and young women aged 15 to 25 in precarious life situations in Vienna who are currently neither in education nor employment. Within the funding period from 01.01.2025 to 31.12.2026, the multidisciplinary team offers free and, upon request, anonymous counseling on topics such as mental and physical health, finances and debt, housing and homelessness, as well as educational, professional, or administrative concerns. The goal is to facilitate the guided introduction of the target group to institutions and measures of the Vienna Education Guarantee and to ensure a qualified handover to further support services. In a substance-free safe space environment, participants can use digital devices, network, and access hygiene facilities if needed.
The project is funded as a grant upon submission of actual incurred costs by the Vienna Employees’ Promotion Fund (waff). Applicant organizations must be non-profit and implement the offer through the association Sprungbrett. Prerequisites include the submission of a detailed project description and financial plan, as well as the execution of project activities in accordance with the funding agreement. The maximum funding amount is contractually determined, with disbursement made according to the submitted costs. The application deadline and other dates are governed by the contractual agreements in the funding contract. The program strengthens the social participation and self-efficacy of girls and young women in challenging life situations and promotes their sustainable integration into education and employment.
