Description

The Eco-Booster 24-27 is a free intensive skilled worker training program for young adults aged 18 to 25, focusing on electrical, installation, and building technology. Funded as a 100% grant by the Vienna Employees’ Promotion Fund (waff) in cooperation with AMS and the Chamber of Labour, the program is structured into six-month qualification and counseling modules, close socio-pedagogical support, and individually accessible psychological assistance. Over a period of 24 months, participants complete practical courses and gain valuable experience in leading Vienna-based companies. The goal is to compensate for professional deficits in German, mathematics, and basic electrical engineering to enable a stable employment history in the apprenticeship profession of installation and building technology or related fields.

The initiative targets individuals registered with AMS as unemployed, job-seeking, or seeking apprenticeships who are interested in training as electricians or installers. Accompanying workshop programs on financial management, democracy education, and meaningful leisure activities strengthen social skills and promote integration into the labor market. In the long term, the Eco-Booster makes an important contribution to securing skilled workers for climate protection and the energy transition in Vienna. Applications can be submitted at any time and free of charge via AMS Youth. The comprehensive funding combines professional qualification, psychosocial support, and career prospects in a holistic concept that enables disadvantaged youth and young adults to successfully enter modern future-oriented professions.
