Support for the Till Eulenspiegel Museum

In Lower Saxony, the Till Eulenspiegel Museum Foundation is open to public institutions that promote cultural heritage and regional identities. As a legally capable foundation under civil law, it has supported the collective municipality Elm-Asse since its establishment in 2012 in managing the Till Eulenspiegel Museum in Schöppenstedt. The goal is to keep the medieval jester Till Eulenspiegel alive as a central historical figure and to deepen his significance for the Elm-Asse region and beyond. Through financial grants and in-kind contributions, the foundation contributes to the maintenance of the collection, research, and the dissemination of traditional customs. Ongoing funding opportunities enable flexible planning and sustainable projects in the fields of culture and media.

Eligible for funding are primarily the collective municipality Elm-Asse as the sponsor and the museum team of the Till Eulenspiegel Museum, who can use the funds to further develop their exhibitions, implement special guided tours, and design educational offerings for various target groups. The continuous endowment and application process creates space for new initiatives, such as the conception of interactive mediation formats or regional cultural events. Allocation is carried out in accordance with the foundation’s purpose, which is the preservation and expansion of the museum’s offerings as well as the strengthening of cultural infrastructure in Lower Saxony. Applications can be submitted at any time, fostering close cooperation with funders and donors and contributing to the region’s cultural growth in the long term.
