Description

The Neue-Wege-Stiftung supports diaconal initiatives throughout Germany as well as in the international context, which are engaged in the focal areas of child and youth welfare, education and upbringing, development cooperation, humanitarian emergency aid, and Christian religious promotion. Through the funding instrument of grants, both concrete aid projects and measures for the training and further education of professionals and volunteers are accompanied. Especially non-profit organizations, educational institutions, foundations, and public institutions can submit applications to build sustainable structures and develop exemplary solution approaches. Through close cooperation with the implementers on site, a viable network is created that guarantees intercultural collaboration and professional execution.

Applications can be submitted at any time, as the foundation offers ongoing funding opportunities. Decisive criteria for successful funding are a convincing concept, direct substantive exchange with cooperation partners, and careful, professional implementation. Funding is granted exclusively to non-profit organizations and is based on proof of effectiveness as well as the “vitality” of the project idea. The goal is to strengthen diaconal projects in the long term, expand volunteer engagement, and make a sustainable contribution to the social and spiritual development of disadvantaged target groups.
