Description
The funding for individual water supply systems in Styria is aimed at natural persons and companies who wish to equip up to four properties with an independent water supply in their own name and at their own expense, when a connection to the public drinking water supply is not ecologically or economically reasonable. As a grant in the field of infrastructure and urban development, the program enables the construction of pumping and pressure boosting systems, water treatment facilities, spring developments, as well as the installation of storage tanks and pipeline networks. Timely submission of the complete funding application to the responsible building district authority before the start of construction is a prerequisite to claim the funding amount; the funding procedure is designed without a time limit and can be used continuously.
A condition for approval is proof that a maximum of four properties to be supplied cannot be reasonably connected to the public network. Eligible expenses include water development including pressure boosting (up to €2,700), water development via springs (€1,500), water treatment (€600), water storage tanks (€150 per m³), as well as water pipelines (€10 per linear meter from 600 linear meters). The application must include, among other documents, a technical report, plans, official permits, and a variant analysis. Upon completion, the final inspection determines the eligible costs definitively and initiates the payment according to lump sum rates.
