Description
The Barbara Schadeberg Foundation supports Protestant schools and boarding schools in Germany in their founding, expansion, and equipment. Funding is provided to educational institutions with Protestant sponsorship that offer general or vocational education and wish to strengthen their Protestant profile. The grant is awarded as a one-time subsidy, for example as "start-up aid" during the founding phase or as partial financing for educational equipment. Eligible expenses include, among others, religious education materials, musical instruments, furnishing of prayer rooms, as well as projects for the religious orientation of students. Allocation is made after reviewing the statutory purposes and the conformity with the Protestant profile of the institution.
Applications can be submitted online at any time. Proof of a fully completed online application form and a meaningful project description (PDF) are required. The Barbara Schadeberg Foundation continuously reviews funding applications and decides within the framework of its funding guidelines. Through financial support, sustainable structures are created in the long term and the Christian understanding of education is promoted. With this funding, Protestant educational institutions contribute to the diversity of the school system in Germany and strengthen their cultural and religious orientation.
