Description

The program for the promotion of family-relieving services in the field of assistance for people with disabilities in Baden-Württemberg supports public institutions and non-profit organizations in implementing short-term care services for people with intellectual or physical impairments. The goal is the sustainable strengthening of the family situation as well as enabling self-determined and equal participation in family life. Funding is provided particularly for projects involving individual care, inclusive group offers starting from three persons, and the mediation of suitable care services by third parties. State funding provides subsidies for personnel and material costs, thereby making a significant contribution to ensuring qualified care structures.

A prerequisite for funding is the coordination of the service offering with other providers and social planning in the responsible city or district, as well as the assurance of professionally qualified staffing. Furthermore, appropriate user contributions, securing municipal co-financing shares, and proof of insurance coverage for nursing or integration assistance are required. The funding amount is up to €24,000 per 100,000 inhabitants. Applications can be submitted to the responsible regional council no later than March 15 of the respective funding year. This measure contributes to building a comprehensive network of family-relieving care services and sustainably improving the quality of life for people with disabilities and their relatives.
