Description

The grant program supports cooperatives, interest groups, associations, as well as private individuals in Saxony-Anhalt in the establishment and strengthening of forestry cooperatives. With a focus on agriculture, rural development, environmental and nature conservation, as well as energy efficiency and climate protection, it promotes the joint management, marketing, and professional consultation of forest areas. The goal is to pool the expertise and resources of private forest owners to ensure sustainable forest management and increase regional value creation. Financial support is provided in the form of grants, which can be applied for continuously, aiming to create synergies and facilitate exchange among the participants.

A prerequisite for approval is having a registered office or residence in Saxony-Anhalt and the cooperation of at least two private forest owners. To apply, the fully completed application form, the statutes of the cooperative, and a current site plan of the managed forest areas must be submitted. Applications are processed continuously by the Office for Agriculture, Land Consolidation and Forestry (ALFF) Altmark, which, as the responsible authority, answers all technical questions and provides assistance with the application process. The continuous funding opportunity allows initiatives to be planned and implemented flexibly to strengthen forest development in the region in the long term.
