Description
The H. and H. Kaschade Foundation sustainably supports projects in art, culture, and education within the Altmark region and the Hanseatic city of Stendal. As a legally recognized foundation under civil law, it provides grants ranging from €100 to €10,000 per project to private initiators, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and associations. The aim is to create cultural impulses, make diversity tangible, and facilitate access to artistic and educational offerings. Applications can be submitted continuously; for consideration in the following year, submission by mid-November is recommended. A prerequisite for funding is that the project is realized in the Altmark region and falls within the fields of art, culture, or education. A completed application form serves as the basis for the application process.
Since its founding in 1995 by Hermine and Hans-Jürgen Kaschade, the foundation places special emphasis on cooperation and sustainable impact. In addition to the funding program, it initiates its own projects such as the Stendal Artists’ Residency, literary aid programs, and public book boxes to bring literature and artistic creation directly into the community space. In the long term, the H. and H. Kaschade Foundation aims to support fewer but larger projects to maximize their impact. The call for proposals is explicitly directed at all those who plan and implement cultural or educational activities in the Altmark, thereby creating spaces for encounters that sustainably enrich the region’s cultural landscape.
