Funding for landscape cleanup campaigns and waste prevention initiatives

The funding for landscape cleanup actions and waste prevention measures in the federal state of Salzburg is aimed at non-profit organizations, interest groups, and associations that actively engage in nature and environmental protection. With this ongoing support, provided as a grant, initiators can plan and implement projects that on one hand remove litter from landscapes and on the other hand promote sustainable behavioral changes through targeted awareness-raising. Eligible expenses include the organization and execution of cleanup actions as well as measures for waste prevention – such as information campaigns, workshops, or school projects. Applications can be submitted at any time to flexibly respond to seasonal or local conditions and to strengthen local environmental initiatives.

Original invoices and proof of payment are required for the application and must be submitted as part of the accounting process. There is no deadline limit for submissions, allowing associations and groups to continuously realize suitable projects. The aim of the funding is to raise awareness for careful resource management and to make a visible contribution to keeping natural and recreational areas in Salzburg clean. The financial support makes an important contribution to strengthening civic engagement and contributes in the long term to sustainable development and quality of life in the region.
