Description

The funding for employees with disabilities in tobacco specialty shops is aimed at companies in Vienna that wish to newly hire people with disabilities on a permanent employment contract. With a subsidy for gross wage costs, the program aims to create inclusive workplaces and strengthen social participation in the trade & social sectors. Ongoing application opportunities allow for flexible project planning: the subsidized employment can last up to 36 months to ensure continuity in the employment relationship and to cover the long-term skilled labor needs of tobacco specialty shops.

A prerequisite for funding is a new hire from April 1, 2015, onwards and an uninterrupted employment relationship of at least twelve months. Marginal employment is not considered. The funding rate ranges between 10% and 20% of the gross wage costs, with subsidies of up to €3,000 per year possible. Only wage expenses are funded; evaluation is based on legally defined funding requirements and the operational necessity of the new hire. The application must include the employment contract, a certificate of disability, and confirmation from the social insurance provider. Applications can be submitted at any time in a straightforward manner, providing a reliable framework to facilitate the entry of committed people with disabilities into the primary labor market.
