Funding for schools at recognized homes for minors and vocational training centers according to § 28 LKJHG

The funding enables non-profit providers of independent youth welfare and recognized vocational training centers in Baden-Württemberg to receive legally anchored support for financing personnel costs for school management and teaching staff, as well as for material costs of approved private special schools in homes for minors and in vocational training centers. The focus is on strengthening public and private educational offerings and ensuring comprehensive coverage. Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing educational institutions to flexibly benefit from the grants and to further develop their pedagogical structures according to needs.

The measure focuses on expanding high-quality initial and continuing education in the social and educational sector. Only expenses directly related to school operations and management are funded, such as salaries of teaching staff or costs for necessary teaching and learning materials. A prerequisite for funding is recognition as a provider of independent youth welfare or as a vocational training center. This funding ensures sustainable support of special education offerings, which make a central contribution to the school integration and professional qualification of young people.
