Support for Hamburg Universities (Karl H. Ditze Foundation)

The Karl H. Ditze Foundation continuously awards grants for research projects, learning and teaching materials, as well as talent promotion at four Hamburg universities. The recipients are the university presidencies of HAW Hamburg, HFBK Hamburg, TU Hamburg, and the University of Hamburg in the humanities field. Funded are innovative projects and acquisitions that contribute to the improvement of teaching, study, and scientific infrastructure. Eligible expenses include, in addition to the provision of teaching materials, scholarships and project-related research budgets. Applications are submitted exclusively through the presidencies of the respective universities, ensuring an efficient selection process and close coordination with the institutions. Since applications can be submitted at any time, this funding offers maximum flexibility and tailored support for scientific endeavors in Hamburg.

With the aim of creating excellent educational conditions and strengthening committed young talent, the Karl H. Ditze Foundation invites academic institutions and their students to realize ambitious ideas. The targeted support of learning materials and research projects stimulates innovative teaching and learning formats as well as interdisciplinary collaborations. At the same time, the program opens up scholarship opportunities for particularly gifted students and researchers to sustainably develop their potential. Through the long-term partnership with the four universities, an important contribution is made to securing and further developing Hamburg’s educational landscape. Interested universities can submit their applications at any time via their respective university presidency to the foundation’s board and thus benefit from the diverse funding opportunities.
