Description
The initiative supports innovative and exemplary activities of young Lower Austrians within the framework of extracurricular youth education. Projects are funded that are independently and predominantly non-commercially implemented by Lower Austrian youth organizations or legally unorganized groups of regional citizens under 25 years of age. A wide range of topics can be covered, such as cultural, sporting, social, or ecologically oriented initiatives that contribute to personal development, social participation, and the strengthening of democratic values. Particular emphasis is placed on projects of outstanding interest that can serve as models for future offerings. The provision of one-time, non-repayable grants enables flexible financial support to promptly realize creative concepts and ensure sustainable impact. There is no fixed submission deadline; applications can be submitted continuously.
An informal application can be submitted at any time, followed immediately by a free initial consultation through the State Youth Office. For a complete application, the following documents must be provided: a precise project description (action paper), detailed cost estimates or a financing overview, proof of non-commercial implementation, the association statutes (for organized groups) or a written declaration (for informal groups), as well as a signed funding declaration. After review by the Finance Department of the Lower Austrian State Government, a decision on the award will be made. Upon completion of the project, a usage report with a balanced cost statement as well as an experience report must be submitted; an inspection can take place upon request. This funding supports the sustainable implementation of creative youth projects and accompanies young people in their project-related learning development.
