Description

Support for Youth Workshop in Vienna offers young people between the ages of 15 and 21 practical insights into diverse professional fields. Participants gain valuable work experience in specialized training workshops such as electrical and building technology, medical and chemical laboratory technology, or trade & e-commerce. The hands-on support aims to strengthen stability and motivation, optimize learning ability, and clarify individual career aspirations. With the support of the Vienna Employees’ Promotion Fund (waff) and the Vienna Public Employment Service (AMS), this measure is offered as a direct grant. The funding period extends from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2026.

Interested youths with a positive compulsory school leaving certificate and without special educational needs receive their assignment through AMS Vienna. A prerequisite is that no concrete vocational training has yet been started or that chosen professional fields are to be explored. The application process is free of charge and is based on the contractual agreements in the funding contract. A detailed project description and a developed financial plan must be submitted for this purpose. The amount of the grants is based on the actual costs incurred, whereby the total sum is limited by the funding contract. The implementation and accounting of the projects are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the funding contract to ensure smooth disbursement and to sustainably promote individual career orientation.
