The focus is on offerings for children and adolescents aged approximately 7 to 16 years, who actively develop cultural skills and gain community experiences through dance, theater, music, and visual arts. Eligible initiatives come from the fields of culture, education, commitment to social cohesion and democracy, media, labor and social affairs, as well as vocational training and further education. Fundable costs include personnel and fee expenses, material and operational costs, as well as event expenses. Funding is provided exclusively as a grant and is designed for continuous project implementation to achieve sustainable impact in the local community.
The aim of the measure is to strengthen the cultural participation of young people while simultaneously promoting intergenerational and intercultural encounters in Marl. Seniors and families are involved through accompanying workshops to enable a lively coexistence. A prerequisite for the funding is the non-profit status of the recipient, who must be based in Marl, as well as the demonstrable involvement of children and adolescents in cultural activities. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis, allowing spontaneous project ideas to be realized as well as long-term planned event series.
