Description

The Rural Vocational Training Funding supports educational institutions, companies, and non-profit organizations in Berlin and Brandenburg in implementing practice-oriented training and continuing education measures in the agricultural sector. The goal is to strengthen sustainable development, environmental and climate protection, as well as digitalization in agricultural and forestry practice. Funded activities include training sessions, seminars, workshops, and excursions that impart knowledge on the restoration and preservation of agricultural ecosystems as well as resource-conserving, site- and climate-adapted production methods. In this way, the measures contribute to competitiveness, innovation capacity, and vocational training while simultaneously promoting animal welfare, biodiversity, and energy efficiency in rural enterprises.

Eligible participants are educational providers with proven expertise in the agricultural sector as well as multipliers; participants must be resident in Berlin or Brandenburg or operate their business there. Requirements include minimum hourly quotas (four teaching units of 45 minutes each for educational projects, eight for informational events, as well as excursions of at least 4 × 45 minutes and a maximum of five days) and minimum participant numbers (six persons for educational projects and excursions, 15 for informational events). Funding is provided as a grant covering up to 85% of eligible expenses, with reimbursement of €119 per teaching unit and €2,280 per informational event. Applications must be submitted exclusively online via the agricultural application portal; the application deadline for the next scheduled date is June 15, 2026. This program thus offers comprehensive support for the qualification and professionalization of rural vocational training, taking ecological, economic, and digital aspects into account.
