Funding for Music

The "Music Promotion" program of the State of Vorarlberg supports musical projects and achievements throughout Austria, with a special focus on the federal state of Vorarlberg. Private individuals, interest groups, associations, and non-profit organizations are eligible to submit applications. Funding is provided for concerts, CD productions, events, compositions, concert tours, and premieres, as well as annual programs of established music associations. Additionally, the funding department awards composition prizes twice a year and grants scholarships, honorary awards, and promotional grants. With an annual budget of approximately 1.61 million euros, the program makes an important contribution to strengthening the regional cultural scene and presenting high-quality musical performances in Vorarlberg.

Applications can be submitted continuously, ensuring flexible planning of artistic projects. For processing, a detailed income-expenditure statement, feedback from the Arts Commission – Music Department – as well as all necessary accounting documents must be submitted. Payments for concert funding are made after reviewing the accounting and can be disbursed in several installments for project and annual funding. The program aims to encourage musicians, composers, music associations, and organizers to implement creative projects with sustainable impact and to continuously enrich the cultural offerings in Vorarlberg.
