Description

The Musikum Funding in Salzburg serves to partially cover the operating deficits of non-profit, non-commercial cultural institutions and cooperates with municipalities in this regard. Recipients of this funding include, among others, non-profit organizations, public institutions, interest groups, as well as other associations engaged in the fields of culture, music, education & training, and culture & media. The objective is the sustainable strengthening of basic musical education and amateur music-making, including folk music, the promotion of musical talents, and the preparation for a professional career in the music sector. Funding is provided in the form of grants and is continuously available, allowing applications to be submitted at any time.

For an application, a funding request, an approved board resolution, and compliance with the General Guidelines of the State of Salzburg are required. Submissions can be made without time limitation, whereby after approval a proof of use must be submitted to the responsible board by March 31 of the following year. The review and processing are the responsibility of the State of Salzburg in cooperation with the involved municipalities. Through this transparent and continuous support, cultural institutions receive the necessary planning security to implement long-term musical education, amateur music projects, and talent-oriented measures in Salzburg.
