Description
The Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV) supports non-profit sports clubs in Bavaria through financial grants for the new construction, expansion, or renovation of club sports facilities. The aim of the funding is to enable sports clubs to independently establish, maintain, and modernize the facilities required for immediate sports operations. Designed as a subsidy, the program covers construction and investment costs, fees, as well as material costs. The funding rate varies depending on the measure between 20% and 55% of eligible expenses. Continuous application submission is possible via the digital portal verein360, whereby written approval from the “Sports Facility Funding” department must be obtained prior to the commencement of construction.
Only legally registered, non-profit member clubs of the BLSV in Bavaria, whose statutes include the promotion of sports, are eligible to apply. A prerequisite is active youth work with at least 10% of members under 27 years of age, as well as a permanent right of use or ownership of the property. Furthermore, the measure must be necessary for sports operations, have an investment volume of at least €10,000, and be unfeasible without public funding. Depending on the project size, clubs may submit a small application (up to €250,000) or a regular application (from €250,000). In cases of extraordinary damage such as fire or flooding, as well as through special programs, separate grants of up to 55% are available. The funding guidelines according to Bavarian administrative law form the basis for approval and always depend on the current budget volume.
