Location Funding

The Location Funding of the Vienna Business Agency supports companies, founders, and investors in the new construction, conversion, or expansion of production sites as well as headquarters in the federal capital. Funding is provided for structural measures (new construction and conversion), the purchase and renovation of building fabric, as well as architectural and planning services. Eligible applicants are small, medium, and large companies with a planned or existing business location in Vienna, as well as start-ups and relocations to Vienna. The minimum project size is €150,000 for small companies and €300,000 for medium and large companies, with a maximum funding amount of up to €500,000 per project. The funding rate ranges between 10% and 20%, depending on company size and project scope.

The submission period extends from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026, with submission deadlines on April 30, August 31, and December 31 of each year. The project duration can be up to 48 months. For the application, an online completed funding application, the application confirmation, a de minimis declaration, the most recent annual financial statement or income-expenditure statement, a planned cost breakdown, and relevant construction plans are required. An independent jury evaluates the submissions and issues a recommendation for the allocation of grants. This funding makes an important contribution to strengthening Vienna as a business location and offers extensive consulting opportunities through the Vienna Business Agency to support projects from idea development to successful implementation.
