Support for Student Initiatives

The support of student initiatives by pro RWTH – the Foundation of Friends and Supporters of RWTH Aachen – is aimed at interdisciplinary student initiatives and working groups at RWTH Aachen in North Rhine-Westphalia. Grants are awarded from the funding budget and a special fund to strengthen diversity, creativity, and practical orientation in everyday academic life. Projects and competitions in the areas of training & continuing education, education, research & innovation, as well as start-ups and business financing are supported to assist students in independently managed endeavors. By providing financial resources, new ideas are to be realized, cooperation with partners from business and industry promoted, and entrepreneurial potential identified at an early stage.

Eligible for funding are all student initiatives and associations based at RWTH Aachen that present an interdisciplinary, practice-oriented concept. Applications can be submitted at any time; an informal funding application along with a detailed project description must be provided. The selection process is straightforward and transparent to quickly ensure planning security for the implementation of research projects, workshops, or competition entries. Through this ongoing funding opportunity, the foundation strengthens the commitment of young talents and contributes sustainably to the profile development of forward-looking projects at RWTH Aachen.
