Description
The program of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Consumer Protection of Brandenburg supports the cooperation of supraregional interest groups and associations that bring together agricultural enterprises, actors in the food supply chain, and initiatives in rural tourism. The goal is a balanced spatial development of rural regions through vertical and horizontal networking. Funding is provided for new project initiatives that strengthen direct marketing, profile regional products gastronomically, and implement agriculturally and gastronomically oriented events. Special emphasis is placed on the digitization of tourist offerings, the development of new target groups such as children and young adults, as well as the expansion of source markets outside Berlin and Brandenburg. The funding contributes to strengthening regional value chains and sets impulses for sustainable, ecologically compatible rural tourism.
Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are supported in the form of grants with financing shares between 70% and 90%. The project duration is up to 36 months, and expenses for personnel costs, networking and marketing material costs, as well as a flat-rate compensation for overhead costs are eligible. A prerequisite is a concept for the collaboration of various actors, which must be submitted via the online application system IAP. Continuous application submission is possible, provided all funding requirements are met. Selection is based on established criteria such as gastronomic profiling, degree of digitization, visitor numbers, and reach. Funded projects are publicly announced after cut-off dates and contribute to the touristic profiling of Brandenburg.
