Funding "Talent Management / Discovering Talents"

The Hamburg Competitive Sports Foundation supports the identification and development of outstanding athletic talents in school-based and club-based competitive sports in Hamburg through the funding program "Talent Management / Discovering Talents." As a grant program, this initiative is aimed at interested associations, clubs, and educational institutions that organize or participate in the talent scouting competition RAPIDO. In close cooperation with schools and the Hamburg Athletics Association, practical competition formats not only ignite enthusiasm for athletics but also highlight opportunities for further squad measures. With more than 1,700 participants, RAPIDO has already produced countless sprint talents and facilitates the transition into the state squad as well as the junior national squad of the German Athletics Association.

The program supports children and adolescents as well as their sports clubs and educational institutions, thereby creating a sustainable talent pool in the fields of sports, children and youth, culture & media, and labor & social affairs. Applications can be submitted continuously; the only prerequisites are a Hamburg location and active participation in the RAPIDO competition. The goal is to identify talents early through targeted financial support, promote them long-term, and guide motivated students to the next level of competitive sports. This offer invites the further expansion of committed initiatives in Hamburg’s school sports and club life and aims to provide young athletes with optimal development conditions.
