Description

The Hessian Ministry for Family, Seniors, Sports, Health, and Care supports telemedical, intersectoral health networks in Hesse with a grant program. The funding initiative is aimed at non-profit organizations that implement a voluntary alliance comprising at least two health sectors. The objective is to intensify cross-sector networking through modern digital and telemedical applications. By employing advanced hardware and software, specific digital technologies, as well as innovative IT security and data protection measures, the quality and efficiency of healthcare provision are to be sustainably improved. In particular, measures that enable exchange between different care sectors and thus structurally improve the coordination of patient care are supported.

The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant, covering 50 to 60 percent of eligible expenses. A funding amount of up to 200,000 euros per project and a maximum project duration of 24 months ensure the financial framework for demanding digitization projects. Eligible expenses include, in addition to investments in hardware and software, project-related personnel costs as well as specific overhead costs that are directly necessary for the implementation of the project. A prerequisite for application is proof of a voluntary alliance of at least eight Hessian companies providing services under the relevant social laws, as well as clear assignment to at least two different care sectors.

This funding program makes an innovative contribution to the further development of the regional healthcare system. The project enables intersectoral health networks to improve information exchange via digital communication platforms such as video consultations, teleconsultations, and interoperable interfaces, thereby enhancing the quality of care. The initiative promotes sustainable collaboration among diverse healthcare stakeholders and helps to reduce care deficits as well as facilitate access to health services. Through targeted support of digital innovations, added value is created that supports patient-centered and future-proof healthcare provision in the Hesse region.
