The aim of the funding is to modernize the equipment and infrastructure of inter-company vocational training centers, establish digital learning formats, and thereby sustainably enhance the quality standards in vocational education and training. Description
The funding program is aimed at operators of inter-company vocational training centers who wish to further develop their institution into a regionally recognized competence center. The focus is on the modernization of equipment and infrastructure, including investments in machinery, equipment, and structural measures. Furthermore, the measure supports the introduction of digital learning formats and software solutions to sustainably improve the quality of vocational training and further education. Training and qualification measures for pedagogical and technical staff are also funded. The project duration is up to 36 months, with a funding rate ranging between 50% and 80% depending on the scope. Grants of up to €1,000,000 per measure are possible. Applications can be submitted at any time; successful application requires recognized inter-company vocational training center status, proof of ÜBS status, and a coherent concept for further development.
In the evaluation of applications, particular emphasis is placed on the degree of innovation and modernization, the sustainability of the planned measures, as well as the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of the concept. Operating costs, retroactive expenses, and the repayment of loan debts are not eligible for funding. Public institutions, interest groups, non-profit organizations, or private companies may participate as grant recipients. To apply, a detailed project description, a financing plan, cost estimates, and proof of ÜBS status must be submitted. Implementation is accompanied by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) through the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA), which provides all funding documents and assumes technical support.
