Description

The funding program of the state of Saxony-Anhalt is aimed at sponsors and operators of inter-company vocational training centers such as chambers of crafts, guilds, as well as other commissioned educational institutions. The goal is to optimize the learning infrastructure within the dual training system according to the Vocational Training Act and the Crafts Code, as well as to strengthen vocational further education and training. Funded measures include construction activities such as conversion, expansion, and modernization of existing classrooms and workshop spaces, as well as the provision of technology-oriented equipment. The funding thus supports supplementary training offerings that often reach their limits in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by imparting highly specialized teaching content that cannot be comprehensively provided in the company.

The grant program provides up to 15% of eligible expenses and can be applied for continuously. Eligible applicants are legal entities under public law, non-profit legal entities under private law, state guild and professional associations, as well as other associations offering inter-company initial or continuing vocational training. Requirements include adaptation to technical progress, instruction according to nationwide or BIBB-approved curricula, and the establishment of a coordination committee to ensure cooperation between learning locations. A minimum own contribution of 25% must be provided. Developments of competence centers, institutions exclusively offering non-company-based training, or projects primarily serving single-company purposes are not funded. The state funding serves as co-financing of federal funds and makes a significant contribution to the future-oriented qualification of skilled labor newcomers in Saxony-Anhalt.
